Revolutionising the legal space for individuals, sole-proprietors, the SME’s and start-ups

Emma Allen, KK Attorneys director has always been conscious of how the average person cannot afford traditional legal services and wanted to create a space which would give individuals, sole-proprietors, the SME’s and start-ups the opportunity to access legal documents they can trust in a cost effective and easily accessible manner. Ultimately in the present-day environment Emma wanted to create a legal service which came to them.
In South Africa the legal industry has not been quick with online transformation! Emma says, “Currently it is possible for anyone to download blank templates of documents online, however most people reading them may not understand the implications of some of the clauses which have been automatically included. Or they may insert the incorrect information and/or leave information out that may be detrimental to their business / purpose which will lead to far bigger legal issues down the line.”
Therefore Emma wanted to make this transformation reliable affordable and as a result created an online document store (https://www.kklaw.co.za/buy-legal-documents/) which in essence also creates an online relationship with an attorney should the buyer require further advice later.
Emma says, “Unlike blank documents you might purchase off the shelf or download, these are personalised to meet your specific requirements.” The online store currently offers:
  • General letters of demands for goods sold and delivered,
  • Services rendered or arrear rental,
  • Powers of attorney,
  • Sale agreements,
  • Loan agreements (with and without a surety),
  • Commercial lease agreements (with and without a surety),
  • Residential lease,
  • Employment agreements (with and without a restraint),
  • Mutual non-disclosure agreement,
  • Service level agreement.
The process is straightforward, you just register online and provide certain documents (as required by FICA) and you can then open an account and buy a document.  Once you have ordered and paid for a document you will receive an email/letter which will ask you for specific information in order to personalise your document for your purposes and once we receive the information from you, you will have your document within 72 hours.
Ultimately the advancements in digital transformation is revolutionising the legal space by not only simplifying the process for concerned parties requiring legal documents by offering peace of mind, but by eliminating travel time to and from the legal firm, as well as excessive fees. In today’s environment it is important to operate differently by understanding your customers needs and enhance business models to suite them.
